Our Mission

Our HR chapter's mission is to promote organizational excellence through the betterment of our human capital. This will be accomplished by Serving the Professional (STP) in:  

  • providing high caliber, cost-effective educational and certification opportunities to all chapter members and their organizations;
  • offering regular chapter meetings and networking events to encourage the exchange of ideas and enhancing member career opportunities; 
  • enlisting chapter members to serve on chapter committees and in various voluntary and leadership roles. 

 In addition, our HR chapter will take a leadership role within our local communities to continue in making South Florida a great place to visit, work, play, and live. This will be accomplished by Advancing the Profession (ATP) in:  

  • leading a professional human resource organization that represents and exemplifies best practices to include responsibility, accountability, and transparency to its membership;
  • marketing best practices in HR excellence to various local press and media sources; 
  • collaborating with South Florida's business community to address challenges that impact the HR profession and employment including affordable healthcare, mass transit accessibility, public education improvements, and affordable housing;
  • encouraging chapter members and their organizations to voice their opinions and ideas to elected officials at the local, state, and national levels. 

To achieve the purposes of this Chapter, there shall be no discrimination in individual memberships, because of race, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability or other protected status
